Visual acuity measured basically good or bad it is our quality of vision, ie the capacity we have for distance and near, to perceive objects, movement, lights and colors accurately.

Ophthalmologists tend to do their patients a little quiz to find her vision. This test is that patients must detect and recognize small letters and numbers at a given distance. For this you can use a table with characters that are decreasing in size. The ophthalmologist determines the patient’s visual acuity based on the letters that reached the patient to see or read.

Many people have less visual acuity due to eye problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, presbyopia or astigmatism. To correct any of these problems, a person may wear glasses, wear contact lenses or contact lenses or eye surgery. However, outside these vision problems, eye care is important to maintain a good level of visual acuity.
